The picture book market is in a tough place right now, so I’ll be interested to see how well Perez’s book does. The book has a righteous message, so I hope to see it soar with success (even though I also wish that, with every article we post, we’re stealing away one of his readers and converting them into a CDL faithful). |

The album will feature many duets, and while I haven’t heard any others, I’m almost positive this one will be my fave. Why? Because it’s featuring The Gaga, of course! | CDL Exclusive: Interview With ‘Freak Like Me’ Singer Mayra Veronica Posted: 02 Sep 2011 03:06 PM PDT Last week, Celeb Dirty Laundry was fortunate to have the opportunity to interview musician, model and actress Mayra Veronica. Mayra who was on the cover of Billboard earlier this summer has premiered the music video for her sexy club hit "Freak Like Me", which co-stars Latino heartthrob Antonio Sabato, Jr. The video was shot inside Vanity Nightclub at the Hard Rock Hotel Towers in Las Vegas. Check out the video below and you will agree this song will be burning up the dance floors. Her previous single “If You Wanna Fly” debuted in Billboard Top 100, #5 Billboard Dance Chart, Tops Billboard Club Chart, #1 on Verizon Sales first week. She been on the cover of Maxim, Edge, Smooth, SSX, FHM, Billboard and more.. In our interview with Mayra we spoke about: her billboard cover, being interview by Donald Trump and what the future holds for her. FHM has opened many doors for you since being featured in their issue in 2004? What projects have been your favorite in the past few years? All my work with our troops worldwide has been one of my favorite projects, Ive traveled to see them in remote areas like afghanistan, Iraq, Alaska, Korea, Africa….spending time and singing to them for years now is definitely at the top of my list. My Initiation into the Billboard charts with my first single If you wanna fly was a great project as well and now “Freak” is proving to be an incredible ride as we are currently number #4 on the Billboard charts with a bullet! When you were promoted as a celebrity hostess and were told you were to interview Donald Trump how did you feel? That was actually my very first interview back when I was a host, funny cause I was also in the university for a journalism course that revolved around Trump’s handling of the media…. I was in class thinking to myself, how is this happening? here we are learning about Trump and there I was interviewing him on my very first interview…. Power of the mind! lol…. You had little money to finance your schools, how did you and your parents manage to get through it? Let’s just say I must be in Heaven since it was hell to get here….. as immigrants its a struggle….you’re starting from nothing and praying for something….at that young an age its usually just to have a roof overhead and something to eat….even if at times that roof was your car…. But I was lucky to have been blessed with a mother that knew the laws of the universe and how to apply them, always believed in her dreams and taught me to do the same, its the power of your mind that gives you everything you ever dreamed of….whatever you’re going through on your journey there is just logistics… You were also known as a ‘gifted ballet dancer’, yet you gave it up because you were becoming voluptuous. How did you feel when you had stopped? It was a tough call, it was my childhood dream, but I think I’ve made the Best of it ;-) How did you come in contact with Billboard to let you cover their magazine? My label contacted me and said we were doing a cover special for Billboard, and given that the Monday it was scheduled to release coincided with NY’s approval of gay marriage, they felt it was a perfect match, for they knew how much I supported this. Surely you have been very busy and doing a lot of different things. Is there anything that you want to do but have not had the time for (career wise)? Right now I can say I am doing EVERYTHING I have wanted to do for some time :-) and happily so. Where do you see yourself in 10 years time and what does the future hold for you? I see myself continuing to bring fun pop tracks for the world to enjoy, and a few other surprises ;-) |
| Zsa Zsa Gabor’s Husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt Hit By A Car Posted: 02 Sep 2011 02:03 PM PDT Zsa Zsa Gabor’s husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt, 68, was hit by a car. He is being rushed to the hospital now. The car smashed into him while he was crossing a street in Beverly Hills. TMZ has more: A rep for the Prince tells TMZ … Zsa Zsa Gabor’s husband was walking near the busy intersection of Camden Drive and Brighton Way (below) … when the car hit him. It’s unclear if Prince was in a crosswalk at the time of the accident. The rep believes Anhalt may have a broken leg. Prince Frederic has not had much luck in mid-August when he went to the doctor because he began feeling unwell and his face started to swell he found out he had shingles. Prince Frederic and Zsa Zsa recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary August 14th, 2011. The Prince put up a billboard advertising their wedding anniversary on Sunset Boulevard. Pippa made sure to show off her famous tush in baby blue skinny jeans and a greyish-blue top. Yesterday Pippa had the bad luck of getting a parking ticket because she parked illegally. When she saw the ticket she snatched it up and stuffed it into her alligator bag. She did not look pleased. I guess even Royal sisters have to obey parking laws! Pippa turns 28 next week. If you’ve fantasized about the thought of seeing werewolf hottie Alcide Herveaux, in the buff, then here’s your chance. Joe Manganiello is starring in the new movie, Magic Mike, and we’ve learned that he’s going to be stripping down completely nude for his scenes. FULL FRONTAL NUDITY, people! We’re pigs, I know. It’s just another day at the office for Joe, however. He regularly sheds his clothes for his spot on True Blood. He said, “It’s not that different from what I do on set on True Blood. For me, it’s just a typical day at the office.” He went on to reveal, “When I was in college, I did an off-Broadway show where I was full-frontal on stage, so I guess all of these crazy parts have been coming my way for a long time.” Holy hotness, Batman. | David Arquette Admires Rob Kardashian’s Butt Posted: 02 Sep 2011 09:46 AM PDT They will be competing against each other during their dancing days on Dancing With The Stars, but that doesn’t mean that David Arquette doesn’t admire the view of Rob Kardashian’s backside. During a taping of the Late Show with David Letterman, David commented that Rob’s butt is “fantastic”. He told Dave, “The thing about Rob is, and a lot of people don’t know this, but he’s got a great ass just like his sister. I’m serious! Once you see it, his ass is fantastic. And I really think it’s going to be a secret weapon.” I wouldn’t call Kim’s butt “fantastic”, by any stretch of the imagination. Words like, “fake”, “padded” and “cottage cheesy” come to mind. Sorry if I made you upchuck your lunch right there. But for the sake of argument, I found the above photo of Rob leaving dance rehearsals for the show, just to see what he’s got going on back there. | Mila Kunis Comfortable With Naked Justin Timberlake Posted: 02 Sep 2011 09:31 AM PDT Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake starred together in their movie, Friends With Benefits, and while the movie was cute, she’s still going on about it in interviews. Does it really need that much promotion?!? They’ve gotten a lot of buzz for the movie from their personal lives, as well. They’ve been rumored to be dating, even though we’re pretty sure that he’s still with Jessica Biel. Still, the Ukranian actress says that she was comfortable with her co-star during their nude scenes in the flick. She said, “I didn’t have any problems with Justin taking his clothes off. But I’m incredibly insecure about my figure in my private life, let alone in front of 50 crew members. There was a lot of insecurity. There were awkward moments, but the great thing was that Justin and I were friends, so at least I was with someone I knew who was also uncomfortable.” We’re sure the guys in the room didn’t mind her shedding off her clothes. She looks great and really has no reason at all to be insecure. Have you seen the movie, yet? It’s a cute formulaic rom-com, but it’s perfect for a night in with your “friend”. | Mel Gibson: Oksana Grigorieva’s Music Sucks! Posted: 02 Sep 2011 09:20 AM PDT Now that they’ve got their custody settlement hearing out of the way, Mel Gibson feels that he can spill the beans on his true feelings about his ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva’s music career. And he wasn’t nice, either. Apparently, he really wasn’t a fan of her music, from the word “go”. Perhaps he was just being kind to her during their time together? Now that he has to shell out $750,000 to his baby’s mother, he says her music sucks a big one. There’s no reason to be nice now that she doesn’t have visitation of his daughter Lucia hanging over his head. During their hearing yesterday, Oksana and her lawyers seemed to make a big deal out of her music career. Mel, however, was not impressed. In fact, he regrets ever supporting her craptastic music. | Sandra Bullock And Ryan Reynolds To Adopt A Baby – Good On Them Posted: 02 Sep 2011 07:38 AM PDT Sandra Bullock is reportedly set to adopt a baby with Ryan Reynolds. Adoption makes good sense – apart from sparing 48-year-old Sandra the stress and strain of pregnancy it allows an orphan, or at least an unwanted child, to have a great home and loving parents. The Oscar-winning actress is already mother to 19-month-old son Louis who she adopted as a single mother last year following the breakdown of her marriage to Jesse James. Sources say Bullock and Reynolds — her costar in hit flick The Proposal – have been spending an increasing amount of time in each other's company leading to speculation that they are going to build a family together. “Sandra is blown away with what a great stand-in dad Ryan has become to Louis and how he treats him as his own,” a source said “There is no way Sandy would allow Ryan to bond so tightly with Louis if she didn't see a future with him. They are a great team. Sandy and Ryan were best friends and love blossomed from a solid foundation. They share the same family values so they're powering forward.” If all of the world was as big on adoption as Hollywood there would be a shortage of ophans. | T.I. Just Can’t Seem To Stay Out Of Jail, Back In The Slammer Already! Posted: 02 Sep 2011 07:28 AM PDT After only a single day of partial freedom following several months in prison, T.I. is already back in federal custody. The Federal Bureau of Prisons confirms that the rapper checked into a federal penitentiary in Atlanta last night, but would not elaborate further. According to T.I.’s lawyer, Steve Sadow, he’s back in federal custody because of an issue involving his trip from the Arkansas prison to his Atlanta halfway house on a luxury bus on Wednesday. Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr. (born September 25, 1980), is better known by his stage name T.I. or T.I.P., he is an American recording artist, film & music producer, actor and author. He is also the founder and (CEO) of Grand Hustle Records. Clifford has been arrested on both drug and weapons charges and is a convicted felon. Sadow says: “We are awaiting the opportunity to quickly resolve whatever the issue may be that the Federal Bureau of Prisons has with TI’s method of transportation, bus, from Arkansas to Atlanta, so that T.I. can return to the halfway house to complete the remaining days of his sentence.” Sadow adds the issue was not drug-related. | Will James Gandolfini Mob Up The Antarctic In HBO’s ‘Big Dead Place’ Posted: 02 Sep 2011 07:18 AM PDT ‘Sopranos’ star James Gandolfini has reunited with HBO and has begun work on a TV drama adaptation of ‘Big Dead Place’ for HBO. ‘Big Dead Place’ is based on the memoirs of Nicholas Johnson during his work on the US Antarctic Program. Gandolfini, who has been looking for a project to get himself back on HBO since he signed a production deal with them in 2006, is expected to star in the drama. James is currently exec-producing a Hemingway and Gellhorn biopic for HBO, but it will star Clive Owen and Nicole Kidman rather than himself. Gellhorn was a journalist married to the great American writer Ernest Hemingway. Gandolfini will also executive produce ‘Big Dead Place’ alongside his managers Nancy Sanders and Mark Armstrong, Mosaic’s Jimmy Miller and actor Brian Swibel. Breaking Bad writer Peter Gould will write the project as well as co-produce. Since the conclusion of The Sopranos in 2007, Gandolfini has worked on a number of projects with HBO, but none made it past the development stage. Edie Falco, Gandolfini’s ‘Sopranos’ co-star, stated earlier this year that she considered a Soprano’s movie still to be a possibility. Can James shed his persona of Tony Soprano – a role he played so convincingly – so as to diversify effectively and increase his range and scope as an actor? | Lindsay Lohan Is Mad As A Cat After Ridicule By Mena Suvari Posted: 02 Sep 2011 07:05 AM PDT Mena Suvari paired up with Dania Ramirez to film Ass And T*tties which is a music video parody which ridicules Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj we well as making cruel fun of Lindsay Lohan and her much-publicized legal woes. Dressed up as Lindsay, Suvari can be seen stealing clothes in a boutique in an apparent reference to Lohan’s own shoplifting drama in a Venice, California jewellery store earlier this year. Lindsay is not pleased with the little satire and is apparently fuming for being mocked by Mena in the parody – she’s branded the spoof “pathetic.” Mena is a successful American actress, fashion designer, and model. Shortly after beginning her career as a model, she appeared in guest roles on 1990′s television shows such as ‘Boy Meets World’ and ‘High Incident.’ Her first major film roles were in ‘American Beauty’ for which she was nominated for a BAFTA Award and ‘American Pie.’ Although Lohan has called the clip “pathetic,” she refuses to take legal action over it, telling TMZ.com she considers the actress’ conduct “petty.” Of course Lindsay would fail with any legal action she would take since we are, in America, allowed to make fun of people through satire and parody.
